Startups DPIIT Registration
Startup Recognition:
Under the Startup India Action Plan, startups that meet the definition as prescribed under G.S.R. notification 127 (E) are eligible to apply for recognition under the program. The Startups have to provide support documents, at the time of application.
Recognition Authority
DPIIT ( Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) ( earlier DIPP) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is the approval authority of Startup recognition.
Eligibility for Startup (DIPP) Recognition
1). A Private Limited Company
2). Limited Liability Partnership (LLP)
3). One Person Private Limited Company
4). Registered Partnership firm ( registered with Registrar of Firm)
Provided Turnover not exceeding Rs 100 cr. in any financial year and running business model is innovative, improvement and scope for employment generation.
Who is not Eligible
1). Proprietorship Firm
2). Unregistered Partnership Firm
3). Limited Company
4). Any Non Profit organisation viz. NGO, Association etc.
5). Any other Organisation whose nature of formation is not covered under eligibility as cited above.
6).Again a Subsidiary/Holding company is not eligible for Startup filing.
